Jiayi Sun
Assistant Professor
As an astrophysicist, my research focuses on the physical processes that shape the interstellar gas, regulate star formation and clustering, and drive galaxy evolution. I use world-class observatories such as ALMA and JWST to study the multi-phase gas and stellar populations across diverse galactic environments. My work is an integral part of the collaborative efforts by several international teams, especially PHANGS and MAUVE.
