Sharia Sharmin

I am a Ph.D. candidate in nuclear physics at the University of Kentucky, working in Prof. Bradley Plaster’s research group.

My research focuses on precision tests of fundamental symmetries in neutron beta decay through the Nab experiment at the Spallation Neutron Source at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. I work on high-precision magnetic field mapping of the 7-meter long superconducting magnet. I also use Python-based data analysis tools and Geant4 simulations  to study detector response and extract neutron decay parameters. My broader interests lie in precision measurement science and experimental nuclear physics.
