I will describe a representation-theoretic construction of tensor structures in general CFT correlators of long multiplets, and an extension of this to counting of degrees of freedom in correlators involving short multiplets. I will then describe a natural expansion of the conformal blocks with general external and exchanged operators, generalizing the Gegenbauer polynomial expansion of scalar conformal blocks, and the related recursion relations coming from quadratic Casimir equation.
