ABSTRACT
We will give an F-theory construction for Sp(2r) Seiberg-Witten theory and brane network of Benini-Benvenuti-Tachikawa (BBT).
First, we study pure Seiberg-Witten theories with Sp(2r) gauge groups with no flavors, which has an F-theory description in terms of probe D3 branes probing the quantum corrected orientifold backgrounds. We study singularity structure of moduli space of Seiberg-Witten curve, such as maximal Argyres-Douglas loci, in order to construct 1-1 map between moduli spaces.
Second, we consider wrapping seven-branes on (multi) Taub-NUT spaces. Under T-duality it gives the brane network of BBT. These con gfiurations can explain many of the recently proposed Gaiotto-type constructions, with possible extensions to non-conformal models with interesting cascading behaviors. In this model the UV limit would be described by the probe D3-branes decomposed into D5-D5 pairs wrapped on vanishing 2-cycles of multi Taub-NUT space, while the IR would remain a 4d theory.
