Flat Space Holography from Non-Relativistic Symmetries
I discuss how one can systematically take the flat-space limit of the AdS/CFT correspondence and understand holography in flat space in terms of the infinite asymptotic symmetries, the BMS algebra. This intriguingly is related to structures studied earlier in the context of non-relativistic conformal symmetries. We build what we fancifully call the BMS/GCA correspondence and show how it emerges as a limit of usual AdS/CFT. The talk focuses mainly on the 3d bulk and 2d boundary theories.
