B.S. Physics, Morehead State University, 2011
B.S. Mathematics, Morehead State University, 2011
Ph. D. Physics, University of Kentucky, 2011 - Present

I was raised in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in a small, beautiful Eastern Kentucky town called Sandy Hook. I began my undergraduate career as an pre-engineering major at Morehead State University, but soon realized that I would rather be trained as a physicist. I received bachelor's degrees in both physics and mathematics and came to the University of Kentucky to begin my graduate work. I'm currently in my third year, working towards my doctoral degree in experimental nuclear physics with the STAR Collaboration at Brookhaven National Laboratory under the guidance of Dr. Renee Fatemi. Aside from physics, I like to spend my time on a bass boat, in the woods, or on a golf course.
