I study how disk galaxies (and the stellar bars within them) evolve to produce the varying morphologies seen in the Hubble Fork diagram. I simulate numerical experiments of galaxy systems featuring stellar disks inside Dark Matter (DM) halos. To run the models I use the N-body part of the tree-particle-mesh Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH/N-body) code GIZMO.
I have experience using N-body and SPH codes, high precision computing on various super computers, and extensive use of Python for data analysis and visualization.
