Many facets of conformal field theories

Date:
09/27/2019 - 3:30pm to 5:00pm
Speaker(s) / Presenter(s):
Anatoly Dymarsky, University of Kentucky

Conformal field theory is the most basic building block of quantum field theory - the contemporary theoretical framework to describe fundamental interactions. Understanding and classifying conformal field theories is an important open question underlying modern attempts to unify non-equilibrium dynamics of quantum systems with the physics of quantum spacetime. The talk will review recent progress of "solving'' conformal field theories in two and higher dimensions.
